If you choose to cancel your order after payment is received by us, you must do so prior to the rental start date. Cancellations are not accepted after the rental start date. All cancelled orders will be assessed a $50 cancellation fee.
Contact us directly using the contact information at the bottom of this form if you need to reschedule or cancel an order.
Hatch Rates and Chick Mortality:
We do not guarantee a specific hatch rate. Typical hatch rates are between 60% and 85%. Unhatched eggs will not be replaced or refunded.
It is not uncommon for a few chicks to hatch with deformities or to die within the first few days after hatching. We will not refund or replace any chicks and we will not reimburse you for any additional expenses that you may incur if you choose to contact a veterinarian or animal welfare professional. Please contact us directly with any issues or questions and we will do our best to help.
Hatching Kit Rental:
Your Hatching Kit Rental includes all equipment necessary to hatch and keep chicks for up to 10 days from the date the first chick is hatched. You are responsible for, at your own expense, any additional equipment including feed that you may require during the hatching and 7 day keeping process.
The hatching kit is required to be returned on or before the return date specified on your order. If you fail to return the kit by that date, a late fee of $100 per week will be assessed starting on the first day after the return date on your order.
If you would like to keep your kit for a longer period of time please reach out to us and arrange for an extension. We can extend your brooder kit for a $25 per week fee. Extension of service must be arranged before the return date on your order and the incubator must be returned by the return date on your order even if you are choosing to do an extension of service for the brooder and chicks.
All equipment is expected to be returned in the same working condition that you received it in. It is not necessary to clean the incubator or other equipment. If you do choose to clean them, be aware that the incubator and heat plate should not be submerged in water. You agree to reimburse us for any lost, damaged, or broken equipment.Chick Returns:
The chicks may be returned with your rental kit but you are not required to return them. If you decide to keep the chicks, you are responsible for any necessary equipment, housing, or food that needs to be purchased to ensure that you are providing for them. You are also responsible for ensuring that you are following any local ordinances or regulations regarding keeping chickens or quail on your property.
